Leadership

Our Senior Pastor is Rev. Jeff Smith.  Pastor Jeff has been leading our congregation since March 16, 2003.  Clearly, effective pastors are the spiritual leaders of the churches they serve.  But Pastor Jeff understands that the heavy lifting of ministry is done by an engaged and involved congregation.  While he sees his job as spiritual leader, his primary role at West Point UMC is in assisting each member of our congregation in finding the ministry that God has called him or her to do. 

West Point United Methodist Church is also ably served by laity leaders who are passionate about seeking to do the will of God both as individuals and as congregational leaders.  Mr. Jerry Harbath is our Administrative Council chairperson; Mrs. Mandy Jo Bridges is our Lay Leader; Mr. Jerry Stewart is our Pastor Parish Relations Chairperson; Mr. Phil Katter is our Trustees Committee Chairperson; Mrs. Darlene Christian is our Finance Committee leader; Mrs. Ruth Buckner serves as our delegate to the Annual Conference of the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church and Mrs. Carol Stout serves as the President of the United Methodist Women.
